Dumbo is a beautiful movie that speaks to the heart of many who have experienced being bullied and humiliated.Disney is supposedly a family-oriented company, but it has often been accused of inserting sexual innuendos into its cartoons. This movie is great despite past culture references. So while there is racism, that doesn’t mean children can’t learn lessons from this movie. Despite Walt’s racism, there is a scene in Dumbo with a crow named “Jim Crow” who is Dumbo’s hero in the movie. So although parts of Dumbo can be inappropriate, Walt made the movie kid friendly. Now days, children don’t even comprehend the lyrics in songs, only the nice tune. Just because the film is inappropriate now days, doesn’t mean it was when it was made. In 1941, this was socially acceptable and kids saw this in their everyday life. I completely agree it is racist but here is where you need to remember the year Dumbo was created. This segment, is very likely to be slave related. The song they sing is: Hike! Ugh! Hike! Ugh! Hike! Ugh! Hike! We work all day, we work all night, We never learned to read or write, We’re happy-hearted roustabouts!”. Next a bunch of faceless black workers portrayed as “employees” start singing as they work. It starts with the animals getting out of the train together. The second clip from Dumbo is a controversial subject. Of course, this young man related the pyramid to the Illuminati however, any discrepancy regarding the pyramids should be resolved after a camel, an archetypal symbol of Egypt, began walking across the screen. After the eye, the scene changes to an Egyptian one. Typically the thought of the eye is a positive one: “It is the place where the love begins”. The “eye” is more likely one circle within another made of neon colors and pretty shapes like most of the hallucination. This is not proof that the creator was a part of the Illuminati.

However, the image is simply transfigured into an eye. Quickly, an eye pops up and it is claimed to be the Illuminati’s symbol. The hallucinations start occurring with weird thoughts leading from one to another. They didn’t know the clowns spilt alcohol in it. However, soon after Dumbo gets the hiccups, his mouse friend finds a bucket of water to help. To begin, the boy explains how wrong it is to show the clowns drinking alcohol. They use small symbols such as the eye on the pyramid on the back of a one dollar bill. Several believe that the Illuminati control everything in our lives. If you are unsure who they are, I will summarize the conspiracy of the group. However, the boy is depicting certain scenes within the hallucinations that could possibly relate to the Illuminati. The organization of the first video is incoherent and it gets frustrating. Since the other elephants mock Dumbo, and his mother is now locked up, his only friend is a small mouse who helps him throughout the movie. In defense, Dumbo’s mothers strikes the child, making her an “enraged” elephant. When the circus begins, a young boy starts making fun of Dumbo’s ears and tugging them. Once they arrive at the circus, a group of workers set up the circus while singing. The other elephant’s laugh at the sight but Dumbo’s mother loves her baby and takes him in and loving unconditionally. All the elephant’s adore Dumbo until he sneezes and reveals a massive set of ears. As Dumbo’s mother is getting aboard the train to head to the circus, the stork drops a baby for her. At the beginning of the movie, we see many babies being dropped of by a stork. To begin with, Dumbo is a children’s movie from 1941. However, the first video relates the hallucinations to the Illuminati while the Circus video is just a small clip from the movie.

Although both of these videos show hidden messages within Dumbo, I do not believe this movie is “satanic” or too much for children to enjoy.
